The Amarillo Botanical Gardens is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation governed by Bylaws and an independent Board of Directors elected from the community. The gardens are privately funded with an approximate one-half million dollar budget. ABG has no relationship with any governmental agency, except for leasing of the land from the City of Amarillo. It has no other formal relationship with any public or private organizations.
ABG is a public facility that: maintains gardens for the public’s enjoyment and education; conducts children’s and adult educational programs; has ongoing and periodic exhibits and programs; and provides rental space for meetings, parties, weddings and other such gatherings.
